Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM) – Session 2021-2025

These guidelines outline the requirements for the mandatory Major Project that all students of the Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM) program, Session 2021-2025, are required to complete. Please read these instructions carefully to ensure your project adheres to the specified standards.
General Guidelines:

  1. Mandatory Submission: Completion and submission of a Major Project is a compulsory requirement for all students enrolled in the BHM program (2021-25 session).
  2. Final Topic: The assigned project topic is final and will not be subject to change under any circumstances. Students are expected to commence their work based on the provided topic.
  3. Number of Copies: Each student must submit three (3) identical hardbound copies of their completed Major Project.
  4. Minimum Length: The main body of the project, starting from the introduction, should comprise a minimum of sixty (60) pages. This excludes preliminary pages such as the cover page, certificates, and appendices.
  5. Formatting and Binding:
    o The project must be printed on standard A4 size bond paper.
    o All copies must be professionally bound to ensure durability and a presentable format.
  6. Cover Specifications:
    o The cover of each project copy should be either purple or blue in colour.
    o The cover must be protected with a plastic coating.
  7. Soft Copy Submission: In addition to the hard copies, students are required to submit a soft copy of their complete Major Project in PDF format. This soft copy must be submitted electronically before 7th May 2025. Specific instructions regarding the mode of soft copy submission on dsnpprincipal@gmail.com will be communicated separately.

Sequence of Pages:


The hardbound copies of the Major Project must adhere to the following page sequence:

  1. Cover Page: (Include the Project Title, Student’s Name, Enrolment Number, Program Name, Session, and the Name of the Affiliated Institution)
  2. Certificate: (A standardized certificate format will be provided separately. This certificate will typically include details of the project, student, guide, and institution.)
  3. Declaration: (A signed declaration by the student affirming the originality of the work.)
  4. Forwarding Note from Principal: (A forwarding letter from the Principal of the affiliated institution.)
  5. Forwarding Note from Project Guide: (A forwarding letter from the assigned Project Guide.)
  6. Acknowledgement: (A section where the student expresses gratitude to individuals and institutions who provided assistance.)
  7. Table of Contents: (A comprehensive list of all chapters, sections, and subsections with corresponding page numbers.)
  8. Main Body of the Project: (Begins on page 8 and encompasses the core content, analysis, findings, and discussion of the Major Project. This section should be a minimum of 60 pages and organized into logical chapters.)
  9. References/Bibliography: (A list of all sources cited in the project, following a consistent citation style.)
  10. Appendices (if any): (Supplementary materials such as questionnaires, data sets, detailed calculations, etc.)

For any queries or clarifications regarding the Major Project guidelines, an online interactive session will be conducted via Google Meet on 11 am to 12 pm, 5 May 2025.
